COLLON PARISH REGISTERS - VESTRY MINUTES 1775

[NOTE: The names in the original document are given in alphabetical order within each of the townlands of Collon, Bellpatrick, Funchock and the parish of Mosstown (in that order). In the 1885 "Registrars Districts" Handbook, "Bellpatrick" is spelt "Belpatrick" and "Funchock", "Funshog". The applotment was paid at the rate of 1½d. per Acre.]

1775 May the 25th A Vestry being duly summoned & held in the Parish Church of Collon and Mosstown to have the Applotment examined into that was made pursuant to the Act of Vestry held in the sd. Parish Church of Collon and Mosstown on the 17th day of April last. The following Applotment was finally settled and assertained by the Minister Churchwardens and the major part of the Protestant Parishioners there assembled An Applotment of the Sum of thirty three pounds sixteen shillings upon the Inhabitants of the United Parishes of Collon and Mosstown for the necessary charges belonging to the Church and Churchyard of Collon aforesaid and also for the maintenance of the Parish Clark of the said Church and Vestry duly summoned and held in the sd. Church of Collon on the 17th day of April last.
