This list contains the names of 1,200 people entitled to vote in the County of Louth for the year 1842. Only those with a property valuation of £10 and over could vote.

 

This list is transcribed from an original source in the National Archives of Ireland, Official Papers ref 1842/70

 

 

The original list is divided into Baronies:

 

Barony of Upper Dundalk (pages 1 - 5), with 252 names.

Barony of Lower Dundalk (pages 5 - 7) with 118 names.

Barony of Louth (pages 7 - 9) with 87 names.

Barony of Ardee (pages 9 - 14) with 297 names.

Barony of Ferrard (pages 15 to 21) with 401 names.
