BLACKWELL – Sacred to the memory of Revd. Henry Blackwell late of Cookstown, who departed this life the 11th of August, 1807 aged 73 years, and of his wife Mrs. Jane Blackwell, who departed this life the 28th April, 1807. Here also lie the remains of their second daughter, Miss Elizabeth Blackwell, who departed this life 2nd April, 1802, aged 16 years, and of their third son, Samuel Blackwell, Esq., who departed this life 17th November, 1744 [sic] aged 40 years. Also their eldest daughter, Miss Mary Blackwell who departed this life the 14th of July 1837, in the 58th year of her age. Also the remains of their second son, Daniel Blackwell, esqr., Lieutenant 25th Regt., who died in the 59th years of his age, on the 17th Dec, 1847.

CARROLL – Erected by Catherine Carroll of Cookstown to the memory of her husband , Patrick Carroll, who departed this life on the 23 of May, 1827, aged 76 years. Also of his brother, Bryan Carroll, who departed this life on the 22nd of May, 1828, Aged 71 years. Also his daughter, Mary Norris, alias Carroll, who departed this life 29th day of July 1851, aged 21 years.

CRAWLEY – Erected by John Crawley of Little Cookstown in memory of his wife Sarah Crawley, who died Feby. 8th, 1842, aged 73 years. Also his son, James Crawley, died Decr. 18th, 1819, aged 17 years. Also his son, Patrick Crawley, who died Janry. 5th, 1844, aged 32 years.

DUNN – This stone was erected by James Dunn in memory of his sister Catherine Dunn, who departed this life April 26, 1778, aged 18 years; also his father, Patrick Dunn, who departed this life September 25th, 1778, aged 59 years.

EATON – Erected by Alexander and Margaret Eaton (beloved wife of John Eaton) of Ardee in memory of their mother, Ann Eaton, who departed this life 15th Feby., 1801 aged 60 years. Also George Eaton, who died 21st Feby., 1818, aged 55 years. Here lies the above Alexander Eaton, who departed this life 13th January, 1866, also his wife, Jane Eaton, who died 25th April, 1866. Also Margaret Eaton, died 11th July, 1870, aged 84 years.

NEALE – This cross was erected by Phelimy Neale, of Nockneltowne[?] in memory of his father Phelamy O Neale, who departed this life the 7th day of August, 1758, aged 96 years.

PEPPER – Underneath this stone lie the remains of Andrew Pepper, of Ardee Esq., who departed this life 27th of April 1791, aged 77 years. Also his family: Alexander died 10th Dec 1783 [5?], aged 24 years; James, 27th Feby., 1793, aged 30 years; Mary Anne 16th April, 1795, aged 32 years. Mrs. Pepper, wife of the above Andrew, 25th June, 1800, aged 62 years.

PEPPER - Erected by John Pepper, of Ferras, Parish of Louth, in memory of his father, Thomas Pepper, who departed this life the 26th of April, 1782, aged 79 years. Also his mother, Margaret Pepper, alias McCabe, she departed this life the 17th of December 1793, aged 67 years. His brother, James Pepper, departed this life the 1st of Decr., 1809, aged 58 years.

RICE – Willm. Rice ye Vicar’s Brother, buried October ye 23rd 1749, aged 52[?]. Also the Rev. Thomas Rice, who died June the 26th, 1769, aged 72[?] years.

SHEKLETON – Here lieth the body of Henry Shekleton, of Pepperstown, who departed this life the 1st of November, 1807, aged 10 years; also Elizabeth his sister, the 18th of July, 1810, aged 29 years; And Jane, their mother, the 26th of April, 1814, aged 58 years; also Anne, her daughter, the 12th July 1821, aged 36 years. On the 10th July, 1826, aged 39 years, Alexr. Shekleton, Junr., her brother; on the 11 Decr., 1826, Alexr. Shekleton Senr. Their father, aged 74 years. Also, on the 2nd July 1846, Joseph Shekleton, aged 56 years; and on the 29th May, 1872, William Shekleton, aged 78 years, the then last survivor of this family.

TAFFE – Here lieth the body of Lawrence Taffe, who departed this life the 13th of June, 1776, aged 62 years. Also his wife, Margaret Taffe, died Oct. 16th, 1780, aged 76 years. Also his son, John Taffe. Died Nov. 11th, 1793, aged 56 years. Also his son, Laurence Taffe, died June 27th, 1814, aged 60 years.

BAILLIE – In loving remembrance of Gertrude Davisine[?] Baillie, third daughter of the late John Baillie, of Chatham, and Sherwood Park, in the county of Carlow, esquire, who departed this life at Rathnestin, 4th December 1878, in the 68th year of her age.

BROWNE – Sacred to the memory of Ernest Charles Denis, the dearly loved son of Denis H.[?] and Laura Browne, who died at Arthurstown, on the 11th day of July, 1904, aged 19 years.

BAXTER – Sacred to the memory of Thomas Baxter, a faithful friend and servant, who died 3rd March, 1903, aged 25 years.

CHRYSTAL – In loving memory of Sarah, wife of Robert Chrystal, Arthurstown, died 23rd April, 1897. Also of the above Robt. Chrystal, who died 10th Feby., 1899

ELLISON – This monument has been erected by the parishioners of Charlestown of all denominations, with their friends, to record their sense of the inestimable work of the Rev. William Robert Ellison, A.M., late curate of this parish for 19 years. Having faithfully discharged his duty as a Minister of the Gospel, beloved and respected by all classes, he closed a life of Christian perseverance and unremitting kindness to the poor on the 15th March, 1848, in the 48th year of his life.

FILGATE – In loving memory of Charles Filgate, of Arthurstown who died 1st July, 1892, in his 93rd year.

FOSTER – In loving memory of John Frederick, eldest son of the Rev. Sir Cavendish H. Foster, Bart., of Glyde Court, Co. Louth. Born Jan. 18, 1847, died July 27, 1890. Also of Caroline Emily, wife of the above, born Sep. 12, 1850, died Sep. 22, 1892.

HENRY – Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth Henry, the dearly beloved wife of Richard Cooper Henry, of Rathnestin House, in the County of Louth, Esquire, second daughter of the late John Baillie, of Chatham, and Sherwood Park in the County of Carlow, esquire, who departed this life on the 20th day of February, 1882, in the 70th year of her age. Also to the memory of her husband, Richard Cooper Henry, who departed this life the 5th day of February, 1886, in the 84th year of his age.

MAHOOD – In loving memory of Sarah, the beloved wife of Alexander Mahood, of Newry, who died 17th February, 1897, aged 27 years.

McKENNA – Sacred to the memory of Rachel McKenna who died on the 8th day of December, 1888, aged 84 years. Also Robert Townley, youngest son of Harry and Sarah Hardy, died 9th March, 1889, aged 41/2 years; and Ida, their youngest daughter died 20th March 1889, aged 6 years.

NICKSON – In loving memory of Grace, dearly loved wife of Revd. A.A. Nickson, Clonkeen Rectory, Co. Louth, died August 16th 1884, aged 68. Also of the Revd. A.A. Nickson, who died 5th January, 1892, aged 80, and whose remains are laid in Bebington Cemetery, Cheshire.

RUTHERFORD – To the dearly loved memory of Lauranna Eleanor, wife of John Rutherford Esqr., of Pepperstown, Co. Louth, who died 5th of April, 1877, aged 40 years. Also the above John Rutherford, who died 8th Feb., 1908, aged 77 years.

RUXTON – Sacred to the memory of Edward Henry, third son of Major George Ruxton, of Rahanna, and Mary his Wife. He departed this life on the 25th November, 1860 aged 13 years and 4 months.

RUXTON – Sacred to the memory of Mary, wife of Major George Ruxton of Rahanna, who departed this life on the 19th January, 1866, aged 49 years.

RUXTON – Sacred to the memory of Major George Ruxton, who departed this life on the 18th of May, 1869, aged 65 years.

RUXTON – Sacred to the memory of George William, eldest son of Major George Ruxton of Rahanna, and Mary his wife. He departed tis life on the 25th of December, 1899, aged 62 years.

SAYERS – Sacred to the memory of Matilda Sayers, wife of John Sayers, of Rahanna who departed this life on March 24th, 1908, aged 78 years.
